Oglethorpe Bank was founded by the Board of Directors, with the
help and contributions of our many shareholders, in the summer
of 2003. From our beginning in Brunswick Georgia, we will strive
to be recognized as one of the leading banks in our industry.
Our main office location is statistically located at 3344 Cypress
Mill Road in Brunswick Georgia. This renovated building patterned
after an early 1900’s bank boasts limestone floors, black
granite counter tops and mahogany beams. Under the roof you will
find state of the art systems and services designed with our customers
in mind. Oglethorpe Bank was truly conceived and constructed to
be a “Bank of Your Very Own”.
We are a professional organization dedicated to providing our
customers the very best products available anywhere. That, topped
with the best customer service to be found, makes Oglethorpe Bank
Glynn County’s rising community bank. We will serve numerous
customers in our surrounding counties as well. We will strive
to be known for our excellent customer service, friendly demeanor
and superior products.

Shortly after opening our Brunswick, Cypress Mill location, the
Board of Directors together with the support of our shareholders
and employees, made the decision to open a location on near-by
St. Simons Island. This ‘in store’ office location
opened in December 2003 to serve the needs of our Island communities
while our permanent facility is under construction. Oglethorpe
Bank looks forward to serving the needs of our Island communities.
